Dovecliffe Hall | Burton Upon Trent
Thanks to my good friend Ciara (Cara) I had the pleasure of capturing her sister, Megan, and Josh's wedding. They got married at the beautiful Dovecliffe Hall in Burton-upon-Trent (I ventured out of Yorkshire!). Megan got ready in the bridal suite, a beautiful room at the front of the house, with huge windows - which made a great place to hang the dresses (even if I did have to ask for a 10ft ladder to hang them). She got ready with her daughter Lilah, bridesmaids, Mother-in-law-to-be and Mum. Little Lilah had the job of taking something special to her Daddy who was just down the hall way. After he had his fresh haircut (yep, he got his hair cut on his wedding day) she arrived with a special box full of surprises, it was so cute! Lilah also had a little something to give to her Mummy from her Dad... another ring!
Before we knew it it was time for the ceremony. Megan, sorry Lilah made a entrance that made everyone turn to look. She screamed the whole way down the aisle (I think the day just got a little bit too much for her) but she was fine when she could cuddle her Grandma. After the beautiful ceremony in the orangery everyone headed outside for the confetti shot and some group photos. We also took advantage of all the free time and took lots of photos/ videos of Josh and Megan by themselves.
With it being a wedding in March 2018 (the month with the worst weather I remember in a long time!) it was actually a really beautiful day. Not that it would make any difference to how beautiful this wedding was.... From the decor, colour scheme, the cake to the speeches. Oh my goodness, I have never in my whole wedding career life heard such beautiful speeches before. I am so thankful I was able to hide behind my camera so the whole room couldn't see me cry.
The first dance is something that I will never ever forget. Epic moves. That is all.
