Tithe Barn Bolton Abbey Wedding Photography

Imagine a dream wedding in Yorkshire. Then scroll down and see if it exceeds your expectations.. because that is exactly how I felt about Tim and Alex's wedding. They travelled all the way from the sunny New York City to the stunning North Yorkshire countryside to throw the most beautiful wedding at Tithe Barn, Bolton Abbey

The bride and her bridesmaids started the celebrations at High Hall House in the delightful little village of Appletreewick (which is just down the road from Bolton Abbey - it makes the perfect location for bridal preparations/ somewhere romantic to stay). The photos I took don't really do it justice, this 16th Centrury house is better to be seen in all its glory. It has so many amazing rooms (7 bedrooms and 6 bathrooms!!), the wooden stairs are enchanting with walk ways and narrow passage ways going off in all directions, making a grand entrance to a games room, double rooms with open en-suites, library and even a balcony which looks over the lounge (to get some aerial view shots!)... it's never ending! Speaking of which, so is the incredible garden. You can visit the High Hall Facebook page here... https://www.facebook.com/thehighhall/

After forcing myself to leave the house I took a short drive down the road to Bolton Abbey to photograph the groomsmen and groom at one of my favourite wedding venues in Yorkshire - the Tithe Barns! The brand new wedding purpose barn conversion is breathtakingly beautiful (sorry - I know I sound like an estate agent right now with all the 'beautiful' adjectives but they are both really amazing!). Tithe Barns is set in the stunning Bolton Abbey estate from the courtyard at the back of the barn you're presented with lovely views down to the Priory Church and river. The venue was decorated by Catherine Greatorex/Petalis Sheffield who is clearly an expert in wedding flowers! They created the most amazing flower arch which brought the room together during the ceremony and reception.

Alex arrived in a vintage red car with her proud father. She looked stunning in her dress especially with her glamourous hair (by Yorkshire Bridal Hair) and make up (done professionally all by herself!). The ceremony was exceptionally lovely, it was over all to quick! We then headed outside to make the most of the summer weather for the confetti shot, some group photos and then sneaked off for some photos of Tim and Alex together.

Tim, originally from Russia (Kyrgyzstan) and Alex from good old Yorkshire (two genuine people who share a love of travel and numbers!). Their beaming smiles were infectious which made it an absolute pleasure to photograph them. Their lovely friends and family travelled from all over the world making it an international event and an epic party - American's sure know how to dance! To start the party they cut the cake (by Bettys) with Alex's Great Grandfather's sword then danced, danced and danced...

Thank you very much to the Tithe Barn for having me as a recommended wedding photographer!!! It is much appreciated and I look forward to coming back soon.
