Wedding at The Ashes Barn Wedding Venue | Stoke-on-Trent
Michelle and Alex got married at the beautiful Ashes Barn Wedding Venue in Stoke-on-Trent. Surrounded by lovely countryside, occupied by highland cows, horses and sheep. It's the perfect location for a 'rural' wedding. It reminded me of being at home in Yorkshire, especially with the rain. I drove around the venue making sure I got photos of the cows (priorities!) then headed to purpose built dressing room where Michelle (wearing her something blue socks) and her bridesmaids were getting ready.
Thankfully it stopped raining just as it was time for the ceremony to begin and it stayed that way for the rest of the day. However Alex made up for it, as Michelle walked down the aisle he couldn't hold back the tears, and at one point during the ceremony there wasn't a dry eye in the house. It was just so lovely, you could tell how much they are well suited for each other.
One of my favourite moments of the day was when Michelle's sister delivered an awesome speech (trying to swallow Adam's apple and hide my tears behind my camera, whilst taking photos was pretty difficult though), also when Michelle played a lovely slideshow showing how much she loves Alex, the brutal confetti shot where they both also tried to eat the confetti, the almost failed but hilarious sparkler shot, Michelle sat on the toilet shot (yep)... just the whole day (see evidence below).
Thank you both for choosing me to capture such an awesome day. I hope you both enjoy looking at these photos and reliving each moment for a long time to come.
